MDA Promotions boss Matthew Ward believes his awesome foursome top oche stars can go up “another level” in world darts.
Daryl Gurney, James Wilson, Benito van de Pas and Jamie Hughes all extended their contracts for two years with the management firm this week.
Ward has been with World No.5 Gurney from day one and guided the the Northern Irishman to his first major title last year.
Now he believes he can go higher. He said: “I’m delighted to continue with all four players. The aim is to keep the continuity and progress for all the team. I think they can all go up another level.
“We have a youthful and bright bunch of players coming through under our wing but these four can really kick on in my mind.
“Daryl has had a tougher year to deal with. The step up into the Premier League was always going to be a learning curve but he has so much ability, there is no limit to what he can achieve.
“James has had a terrific year so far and keeps improving. I believe he can make a much bigger impact in TV majors.
“The great thing about James is that he’s a brilliant character to have about, his enthusiasm for the game is at last being matched by results and he deserves that for the work he puts in.
“Benito is also another with so much natural talent. He’s had so much on his mind this year with the birth of his son earlier this week. But I’m 100 per cent sure that he will find his feet and start winning in the big time.
“For me, Jamie is the best player in the world outside the PDC tour card. When he produces he can beat anyone in the world. We are delighted to have him in the MDA stable and I know he will be a massive success.”
