MDA boss Matthew Ward has vowed that the “future is bright” after agreeing another three years with top oche stars Daryl Gurney, Jamie Hughes and James Wilson.
Ward has overseen Gurney’s rise to the very top of the sport while Hughes and Wilson continue to show signs of big things.
Now it’s been confirmed this week that MDA Promotions will continue to be with the three players for another trio of promising years.
Ward said: “I’m obviously very happy to have put pen to paper with Daryl, Jamie and James. We have always had a fantastic working partnership but above all they are great guys to deal with. It’s more than just business.
“Obviously Daryl has been the headline star for MDA over the past couple of years. He’s been superbly consistent and won two majors and naturally I believe there is so much more to come from Daryl.
“Without doubt he can be World Champion, the focus will remain on that goal and his results suggest that will come.
“For me, Jamie is one of the most underrated players at the PDC. He’s got so much potential and he is getting better with every tournament.
“There is no doubt he has the ability to go all the way. That firework will be lit at some stage and he can also win majors.
“James has been to hell and back with different injuries. It’s been a very tough couple of years for him. But there’s also no doubt that when he’s 100 per cent, he can beat anyone in the world on his day.
“I’m very confident in all three players and what they can achieve. There’s definitely lots more to come from all three.
“It’s great news that we have three more years together. They are great lads. The future is very bright, that’s for sure.”
