Daryl Gurney produced a run to the Semi-Finals of Players Championship 11 of the PDC Summer Series. ‘Superchin’ only dropped 6 legs before his Semi-Final game. He recorded victories over Derk Telnekes, Wayne Jones, Steve Brown, Ryan Meikle and Ian White before losing out 7-3 to Portuguese Jose De Sousa. The Northern Irishman’s best performance of the day came against Ian White where he whitewashed the Diamond 6-0 with an average of 105.9

Dutch Duo Benito van de Pas and Vincent Van der Meer won their first games against Lisa Ashton and Carl Wilkinson respectively before going out in the last 64 to the hands of James Wade and Danny Noppert.

James Wilson also reached the second round thanks to a 6-1 victory over Conan Whitehead with an average of just shy of a 100. He then lost out 6-4 to Scotland’s Ryan Murray.

Karel Sedlacek enjoyed a first round victory over Ryan Hogarth (6-2), then he lost out to Devon Petersen (6-4).

Youngsters Harry Ward and Nathan Rafferty enjoyed first round victories over Brendan Dolan and Boris Krcmar (respectively) and then their runs where ended by Matthew Edgar and Nathan Aspinall.

Jamie Hughes and William Borland suffered first round exits as they both lost 6-4, Yozza losing to Stephen Bunting and Big Willie losing to Joe Cullen.
