CZECH Darts Open winner Jamie Hughes opens his bid to win back-to-back European Tour titles against World Championship quarter-finalist Luke Humphries.

Yozza will aim to maintain his excellent form at the Austrian Darts Championship in Vienna on Friday.

The tenth £140,000 European Tour event of the year will take place from at the Multiversum Schwechat as 48 players compete across the weekend.

Friday’s first round features the 32 qualifiers as they compete across two sessions to secure places in Saturday’s second round alongside the 16 seeded players.

Hughes’ clash with Humphries is one of the stand-out ties of the opening day.

James Wilson will finally get the chance to make up for the disappointment of narrowly missing out on the Matchplay in a first round clash with Gavin Carlin.

Daryl Gurney is back from the World Series Down Under to take on the winner of Rowby-John Rodriguez v Josh Payne in the second round on Saturday night.

The Austrian Darts Championship will be broadcast through PDCTV-HD at video.pdc.tv for all subscribers worldwide, as well as through a series of bookmakers’ websites.

Meanwhile BDO World Championship quarter-finalist Kyle McKinstry will start his bid for World Trophy glory on Friday at the King George’s Hall, Blackburn in a tough tie against Welshman Nick Kenny.
